Event Description:
The Milam County Historical Museum and the Stitch Witches of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church will be hosting a Quilt Show on May 15th-24th.
Antique quilts will be on display in the museum, and members of the community are encouraged to bring in their quilts to share and examine!
On Saturday the 19th, there will be 2 quilting classes at 10am and 1pm, and Emily Dossman, quilt expert, will be performing appraisals on quilts brought in for the show. There will be a $10 fee to have your quilt appraised.
Quilts to be displayed need to be brought to the museum between May 8th and 12th. They need to be tagged with your name and phone number, and if the quilt has any background story or history information, that may be included as well. Quilts may be picked up during the second week of the show until May 24th. There is no limit to the number of quilts a person can enter!
