TICKETS ARE NOW FOR SALE at the Cameron Chamber of Commerce 102 E 1st Street for the Football Extraordinaire for Friday, August 9, 2019. This will be the first ever Cameron-Rockdale Football banquet and will be held at the KC Hall in Rockdale at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person for parents
Coach R.C. Slocum, the former Head Coach of the Texas A&M football program and the current Interim Athletic Director Texas A&M will be the keynote speaker. Also, Mr. Wayne Fisher, Esq. will speak to the issue of cooperation in the County as it applies to economic development.
The elected officials of the respective cities will serve a BBQ meal, prepared by Thorndale Meat Market, to the coaches, varsity players, superintendents, principles and cheerleaders of the respective schools as an example of cooperation between these two fine towns and football programs.
The parents of the players and citizens are invited to attend with a meal cost of $15 per person. Tickets will be going on sale very soon in various locations around the County.
A special thanks to our fine service organizations in the County for helping sponsor and administer the event, including the Cameron Lions and Rotary, Rockdale Lions and Rotary, the Cameron and Rockdale Masonic Lodges and the Knights of Columbus. Also, a special thanks to the Cameron and Rockdale Chamber of Commerce who are sponsoring and helping organize the event.
